"But as the days of Noe were; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be."
Much has been written about the ideas Jesus expressed in this verse of scripture. In the 1870s George H. Pember, in his classic work “Earth Earliest Ages” wrote about the Genesis 6 incursion that produced the Nephilim, a race of giants that roamed the earth in those days and after that. This is not the only topic of this book however. Pember clearly saw the dangers of humanity uniting under the false religions of spiritualism. He warned of the return of the Nephilim, but more importantly of a world united by the false Satanic doctrines of spiritualism, under its many guises, which he accurately recognized as nothing more than the deceptive manipulations of the same entities described in Genesis 6; the Fallen Angels which the Book of Enoch calls the Watchers.
Lucifer was the most beautiful of all the angels. He was a servant of the Most High God. This was not good enough for him though, and as his pride grew, he thought he should be a god too. Somehow he convinced one third of the angel population to follow him. This rebellion succeeded in getting him thrown out of heaven, and since one third of the angel population followed him, he probably thought he was becoming a god.
In Genesis chapter 2, God creates man out of the dust of the ground. He then breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. I do not think it coincidence that this occurs in Chapter 2 verse 7. Chapter 1 described the creation of the Universe; it is all oneness; all God. Chapter 2 is about Gods desire for companionship, a meaningful fellowship with His Creation.
Chapter 2 starts with God looking over His Creation, seeing that it was beautiful, but aware something was missing. What was missing was man. What was missing was someone to share His Creation with. Verse 5 speaks of the Grace to come when it says “there was not a man to till the ground.” God wanted to give all of creation to man, not because he deserved it; he wasn’t even created yet. It was to be a free gift. In Chapter 2, man is formed from the dust of the ground. Verse 7 says God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. At this moment God and man were united to the point of breathing the same breath. As a result man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7 describes a state of complete Unity with our Creator that, in my view, is a glimpse of what is in store for us when we live in union with God. Ever since we shared that first breath we have been dependent upon Him for everything just to continue living. When we breathe that same breath today, it is because Jesus lives in us, acts through us, and when we are obedient, He breathes through us the Gospel of eternal life into the souls of the lost…
Verses 8 and 9 tell us that God planted a garden and made to grow every tree that is pleasant to look at and good to eat. This same garden also contains a danger: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil; “Of that tree, thou shall not eat of it…..thou shall surely die.” In the very next verse God said “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a help meet for him.” So, if chapter 1 is about oneness, then chapter 2 is about twoness, if you will. At first God looks over His Creation, and then He creates man. The Unity between God and man is established. Two. When God created woman He gave man access to Unity directly. Man and woman, together, should be able to withstand temptation. The serpent, however, was subtil. Chapter 3 introduces a new dynamic into the picture; threeness.
The serpent, or the Nachash in Hebrew, wanted to interject himself into the Unity that had developed between God and man and woman. The Nachash, seeing his opportunity, acted. The Nachash understood the Creation, its principles, and its laws. To be sure, he was very well armed for this first attack on humanity. One might assume this first attack would be a devastating one, using the best available weapons, targeting a valuable resource; a resource the attacking force could then exploit to achieve advantage in future battles. That is exactly what happened. And what weapon did this most dangerous of enemies choose for this momentous occasion? Subtlety.
The targeted resource? Unity.
In Chapter 3, the Nachash divided God and man, and probably caused more than a few serious discussions between man and woman. When man sinned, he accepted the alliance with the serpent, thus giving the serpent permission to enter and corrupt our realm. The pristine bond of Unity that man had with God was severely damaged. Deceived, man thought he had discovered a new source of power; Knowledge. He must have learned a lot too, and all at once, but the thing that he learned about first was shame. Then he and the woman learned that they had to work until death just to survive. And speaking of death, now they knew they would surely die. Now man’s lifespan was limited and he had to work in order to eat. This meant that all of the moments of his life were now quantifiable; they had to have a value. This is the origin of Money. If a farmer offers to trade a bushel of wheat for a pair of shoes, he is literally offering the amount of his life, in time and effort, that it took to raise and harvest that bushel of wheat. Likewise the cobbler his, the pair of shoes. If a man can acquire enough power, he can make other men to do his work for him. Deceived again, man thought he had discovered another new source of power; Money. Knowledge and Money have been used to divide, control and destroy mankind ever since.
Things were really starting to spiral out if control, so much so that by Genesis 3:14, everything is reset and starts over, but with some new rules and some new limits. The serpent has to crawl on his belly and eat dust, perhaps to remind man of how devious he is, but the serpent is also cursed in another way. Verse 15 says God will put enmity between him and the woman and between his seed and her seed; it shall bruise his head and the serpent shall bruise only his heel.
This is obviously referring to Jesus and His victory over Death, Hell, and the Grave, but it also refers to us. We, too, are the seed of the woman.
This concept is extremely important when it comes to spiritual warfare. Man gave the serpent permission to enter and corrupt our realm when he chose knowledge over his unity with God. Therefore, it is our responsibility cast him back out and to provide deliverance to those suffering from demonic interference. Jesus gave us the power to do as He did and we are expected to use it. We bind and cast out demons in His name. The fact that we act in His name, and demons are brought to their knees, not only defeats the forces of darkness, but through this very act of obedience we are restoring our unity with Him. Jesus said when two or more are gathered in my name I am there also, and Solomon knew a threefold cord is not easily broken.
By the time of Genesis 6, every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil, continually. The fallen angels had corrupted mankind all the way down to the genetic level. Man had traded his genetic purity for knowledge and power. As men united for wickedness, the fallen angels became gods. This is what the time of Noah was like; it was a time when the world was so corrupt and united for wickedness that God wanted to destroy man and beast alike, it actually grieved Him at his heart that He had made them. He was going to destroy all man and beast from the face of the earth, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. How Noah found grace, all those years before Jesus paid the price for his redemption, is a whole different topic, so for our purposes, we will simply accept the fact that Genesis 6:8 says it was so. Genesis 6:9 lists the reasons God picked Noah; he was a just man, and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. “Walked with God”, means united with God. Noah was just, genetically uncorrupted, and united with God. If these are the traits that set Noah apart from everyone else alive in his day, and God saved Noah from the deluge, should we not endeavor to understand them fully?
Jesus said the time of His return would be like the days of Noah. Often the “days of Noah” are limited to antediluvian times, but Noah also lived for 350 years after the flood. There are other examples of Unity being used during this period of history referred to as the “days of Noah.” In fact, sometime during the last 350 years of Noah’s life, Nimrod, who was Noah’s great-grandson, began to be.
Nimrod basically weaponized Unity. He took a people who were probably still reeling from the Flood, and were all of one language, and gave them one purpose; let us make bricks. Before they knew it, they were bricks, no longer the individuals God had created. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men builded. And the Lord said Behold the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. When God confused the language and scattered the people, He freed mankind from the tyrannical grasp of Nimrod. This also served to limit the amount of Unity possible on Earth. The level of Unity reached during Nimrod’s time will not be permitted on Earth again until the return of the Son of man. These were truly the days of Noah.
Perhaps by now you are seeing a pattern, but how do we know if that’s true? To answer that, first you must ask; just what is truth? What is the nature of truth? How do we recognize truth?
First, truth is external. A lie, no matter how well presented is still a lie. A lie, no matter how fervent its believers may be cannot be turned into truth. The universe exists; there is only one correct explanation as to how it came to be. If you are blessed with a Biblical World View, then you know that God spoke the universe into existence.
Second, truth is edifying. Truth builds you up; it makes you stronger, it leads you to a deeper and richer understanding. Sometimes truth can be uncomfortable, but it’s at these times when we need it most.
Third, truth never changes. Truth comes from God, and God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Any truth in Old Testament times is still true today. Think of it this way; a perfectly straight line, extending forever in both directions: this line is truth. This line runs from oldest antiquity through now, and into the farthest future. In all of that time, this line has never varied as much as a fraction of a degree. Now think of all of the other Biblical truths the same way, straight lines, one right next to the other, all existing in perfect harmony, edifying one another, never conflicting, never crossing, never colliding, parallel forever.
All truth is parallel.
These principles can and should be used to test and demonstrate the veracity of the Bible, as well as to show the deceptions of our modern world. As an example, let’s test one of modern academia’s most sacred cows; Darwin’s Origin of Species, also known as the Theory of Evolution. The idea that life arose from some sort of primordial soup, where random elements formed molecules that joined together and evolved into ever more complex and orderly systems, only to culminate in all we see around us, is not only ludicrous, but is contrary to the second law of thermodynamics. Entropy states that things progress from order to chaos. In contrast, the Bible says that God spoke the creation into existence. This violates no laws of physics, is edifying to the believer, and continues to explain more and more both the seen and unseen, especially as we improve our understanding of the vibrational nature of matter.
Unity as a Force Multiplier in Spiritual Warfare
Chapter 26 of Leviticus describes a people living in Unity, with God and also with each other. Verse 8 is of special interest as it describes Unity as a force multiplier when it states; five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight. The ratio went from 1/20 all the way up to 1/100. What is the reason for this is exponential growth in military strength? The only difference that I can see is the number of dedicated souls united together with one purpose. Psalm 133 says Unity is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down the beard, even Aaron’s beard, that went down to the skirts of his garments. This is remarkable when you consider that this is the ointment or oil that consecrated Aaron and his sons so they could minister to God in the priest’s office. This oil anointed the tabernacle, as well as the ark of the testimony, the table and all his vessels, the candlestick and all his vessels, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering and all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. Aaron and his sons first had to wash their hands and feet in the laver, that they die not. Washing their hands and feet cleansed them of where they had been and whatever they had done, and the oil consecrated them, making them holy. This process opened access to God, for worship, for fellowship, for guidance. This oil was also part of the atonement process for the children of Israel. The Old Testament process of atonement can be compared to New Testament spiritual warfare and Psalm 133 compares the holy ointment used with Unity.
“That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” In this verse from the 18th chapter of Matthew, Jesus describes the principle of Unity. In the verses previous to this, He is talking about dealing with a brother in trespass, causing division among the church. This poses such a serious threat that if he won’t repent he should be treated like a heathen man and a publican; expelled. Jesus then goes on to explain that whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and if two of you agree it shall be done for you. When He started his public ministry one of the first things He did was to gather together a group of men we call the apostles. Then they went all around the countryside telling people the truth of the Kingdom and how they could be a part of it. All through the Gospels, it is emphasized that Jesus sends His disciples out at least two by two, never alone. They cast out demons and healed the sick, He even raised the dead. In fulfillment of the promise in the Garden He was crucified to pay the price for our sins. He rose again three days later defeating Death, Hell and the Grave, and told us He had to return to the Father, that in His name we shall cast out demons and heal the sick, and that He would send us a helper; the Holy Spirit.
Now maybe we could handle the responsibility and the power of Unity. We no longer needed to wash our hands and feet in the laver, we are cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb.
As the early church waited in the upper room, they were of one accord in prayer and supplication, probably thinking about the last thing they heard the Savior say; “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” On the day of Pentecost they were all with one accord and in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Notice first they received power; the authority of the Name of Jesus, then they were filled with the Holy Ghost who would guide them on how to use it. Suddenly they were confounded, because every man heard every other man speak in his own language. This hadn’t happened since mankind was of one language. The 120 in the upper room weren’t exactly of one language, but the end result was the same; now these people were as one and they have all one understanding, and this they begin to do and now nothing will be restrained from them. They started the day numbering about one hundred and twenty, and by the end of the day about three thousand were added to them! And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking bread, and in prayers. And all that believed were together, and had all things in common, they sold their possessions and lived communally. Praising God with one accord and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
In Ephesians Chapter 4, Paul describes Unity this way; There is one body and one Spirit, even you are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. We are given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. The spiritual gifts he lists in verse 11 are for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That we henceforth be no more as children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. But by speaking truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The effectual working in the measure of every part makes the increase. Just like in Leviticus 26, the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts. This is a universal truth, and the devil and his minions not only understand it, they are using it to their seeming advantage as they try to usher in a Luciferian New World Order.
When you combine the sleight of men with the cunning craftiness of powers and principalities you get a pagan society based on the deception of worldly wealth and earthly knowledge. This is an apt description of our world today, and this is the battleground where we should engage the enemy. Worldly wealth is an illusion perpetrated on an all too willing mankind by the cunning craftiness of the cartel of criminals known as central bankers. Even a cursory glance at this bunch of demonically driven misfits should set the alarm bells ringing. This satanic cabal controls the governments of the world, finances both sides of all major wars, and controls the drug and sex trade. They own and control all of the “news” outlets and by using the Hegelian Dialectic, they have virtual control of the general public’s views and opinions. They own the entertainment industry and use movies, television and sports to corrupt our culture and celebrate debauchery and iniquity on every level. Popular music and video games have been literally weaponized to attack the youngest and most vulnerable among us, while at the same time they are constantly dividing children and parents in an effort to undermine the unity of the family. How many “Christians” willingly participate in, and even help advance and finance this cultural attack on the Body of Christ?
The education system does not educate; it indoctrinates. In a stunning display of cunning craftiness they have replaced critical thinking with unquestioned obedience to worldly authority and Manufactured Scientific Opinion, all designed to obscure the truth of the spiritual and historical narrative of the Bible. Of course they had to come up with an alternate theory to explain how they came to be in the first place. Manufactured Scientific Opinion allows them to claim they can explain not only that, but it points to a bright and glorious future as mankind evolves into a self-empowered transhumanist utopian existence. Apparently, all of this is just so subtil, that most “Christian” parents still send their “Christian” children off to university to be “educated.”
Then we have the Universal Church, the very definition of the sleight of men combined with the cunning craftiness of powers and principalities, and they have been at it for about 1700 years. They that sit upon many waters have managed to unite about one billion people in allegiance to the pope. You don’t really have to change what you believe or the way you behave, you just have to be loyal to the pontiff. Unity is very important to the universal church, as all of the cardinals and bishops must be in agreement, which, in turn they enforce on the priests and parishioners. But this is only half of the formula for the Universal Church. They also have a counter-reformation army mandated to undermine and destroy anything not under the pope’s control, especially Protestant churches. Over the last four hundred plus years their mission has been to infiltrate and divide. Protestant pastors used to know this. Protestant pastors also used to know that the pope is an anti-christ, and would preach against popery. Today “Christian” Protestant pastors embrace ecumenism as if it were a Biblical principle, and are ready to reunite with Rome!
Looking at the current state of the world, using our Biblical World View, we can see that the days of Noah, if not here now, are not too far distant. We can see that the deception is purposeful and agenda-driven. We start to notice almost all of their tactics and schemes result in more unity for them and less unity for us. It doesn’t seem to matter that the unity is based on deception, they still seem to be able to use it effectively.
Just what can we do?
First of all, we need to be cognizant that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. And those of us who understand that should guard and protect our Unity like the precious oil that it is. We should use it in coordinated stands and attacks against the powers and principalities with which we do battle. Use the Leviticus principle of exponential growth to our advantage. Respect the Truth and speak the Truth in Love.
Most importantly we, who are called by His Name must humble ourselves and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven and heal our land.
A humble united remnant avails much.
When Jesus was asked which is the first commandment of all, He replied, “The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord, and thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like namely this, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Unity and Love are Very Closely Related
Unity is a Force Multiplier
